Online teen book clubs and discussion groups

Most of these groups do require registration but they're all free and all have specific guidelines that are posted. Many of them allow users to customize their viewing options. Join the fun discussing books with kids from around the country or organize your own blog for your favorite book, genre, author, whatever!

Flights of Fantasy
A book club right here at the Lovett Middle School.
For more information, contact Miss Knott or Mrs. Durand
Book Divas
You can discuss books, read chapter excerpts and interact with favorite authors. Also featured are author bios with the occasional live chat.
Grouchy Cafe
Lively discussions for any teens or those interested in YA lit, especially those wonderful angst-ridden stories we all love
(come on, you know you do).
Not Your Mother's Book Club
A blog intended for kids in grades 7-12 and all those who work with those ages. Allows avatars, "current mood" icons and hypertext.
TeenZone Message Board
This blog was created for middle and high school aged readers and includes genre links and a search tool. For librarians and parents, there are areas to learn more about blogging as well as safety on the Internet.
